I had two main goals when I made this painting, one was to leave a majority of the whitespace. The other was to do a mirror image painting. It was a challenge to flip the image in my head and on the panel.
I love how it turned out! The differences between the two pieces tell a story as compelling as each individual piece. This was a reminder to me of how much I love negative space and while my paintings look haphazard, they are actually made of precise brush strokes β just with tools that allow for randomness to enter in. When I paint, itβs a dance with divine chaos.
