When this client and I first talked about her portrait, I had a vision of her completely covered in gold on a black background. I was a big yes to finding a way to make this one come to life. We did a photoshoot that was a big emotional experience for both of us. I never imagined that I would be combining glitter with oil paint… but here it is. Remarkable. Sparkle. Powerful. I’ll be sad to see this one leave the studio, but ecstatic for the client to get it. She’s never seen a photo of it yet!
